And lastly for this burst of creativity, we have Kurt Vile and a vinyl unboxing for his new album “Wakin’ On A Pretty Daze”. I wouldn’t say it’s exactly some of my best work given I wasn’t running on a ton of sleep and it was late at night to begin with, but still it gets the job done pretty well, and this is a pretty neat record. Design your own cover, limited number of pressings, and color records in a nice shade of blue.

Plus, epic beard thumbnail is epic.

And of course, while we were on the subject of making videos for new singles yesterday, I also took the unexpected detour into new Queens of the Stone Age material with their new release “My God Is The Sun”. It’s from their upcoming June release “Like Clockwork”, and I must say that it’s really really something good. Not a bad way to shake off the dust after six years!

So…. I’m really really excited. Not only does The National(one of my favorite favorite bands) roll out the first single from their new and still forthcoming record “Trouble Will Find Me” in the form of “Demons” yesterday, I quickly got the inspiration to make a video on it. Now I do make one little mistake by referring to the album incorrectly twice as “Trouble May Find Me”, but A: the main body of the video is still correct, and B: I’m blaming it on overwhelming enthusiasm and not double checking that part. I’ll get it right the more I actually hear it!

Here we have a LONG overdue review on the Fleetwood Mac three disc reissue of their acclaimed album “Rumours”. Obviously this was something I meant to cover a while ago, but circumstances kept it delayed on the back burner for a time. However here it is now, and I’m proud to unveil it as I inject more of my proper review work back into my channel!

Also thank you to the person who suggested this, it helped me get something that’s been in development for a while out there and off the hellish back-burner!

Here today we have yet another unboxing video, and in this installment we have a special edition involving the Bob Mould Kickstarter for the “See A Little Light” concert movie. I didn’t back one of the bigger packages, but in the video I go over a little how Kickstarter works, the fiasco surrounding how long this Kickstarter has taken to reach it’s conclusion, and some of my thoughts on the film itself. It took a long time to get to have this stuff, but I’d say it’s definitely a 10/10!

Plus here’s the second of the two videos I spent some time recording yesterday, and in this one I engage in a hearty dosage of concert talk after seeing Alejandro Escovedo & The Sensitive Boys tear up the stage at Water Street Music Hall in Rochester NY. The show was amazing, and meeting Alejandro afterwards really put the cherry on the sundae if you will. That was BIG to me, really big.

At long last we have some Youtube video related stuff to share on here once again, and we lead off with a vinyl unboxing of the 2009 Magnolia Electric Co record “Josephine”. As I had spoken of doing in my remembrance to Jason Molina video not too long ago, I wanted to acquire some of his work on physical media and do some extended coverage. I believe it’s very fitting for someone of his talent level, and my own way to keep paying tribute just a little bit.

A little scheduling update video I did, where I make a few outdated references(cause this video should have been up days ago), and talk about the music-related things I wanna make videos for next. Subjects include the likes of Alejandro Escovedo, Kurt Vile, Chelsea Light Moving, Modest Mouse, Fleetwood Mac, Phosphorescent and more!

It’s video time again! And in continuing that lengthy mindset I’ve had lately, we go forward here with some coverage of the broad spectrum that is Ryan Adams. It’s a segue of sorts given the similarly ultra-prolific Jason Molina and the video I did about his passing the last time around, and if anything it’s largely an appreciation video that explores more of the origin music that really inspired me.

The first of two big videos I recorded yesterday. I’m never sure how people are going to react when I record stuff that’s this long, but sometimes the nature of the topic requires it. And in the case of Jason Molina’s passing this week, I wanted to put an emphasis on something completely spontaneous. I don’t say everything the way it should or could be said, but either way the world of art and good things is a little darker this week because of this.

Definitely going to keep listening to a lot of Magnolia Electric Company and Songs:Ohia, and remembering someone I wish I knew better.
